Mouse IL-16 ELISA Kit

A high-quality sandwich ELISA from Assay Genie designed for quantitative measurement of mouse interleukin-16 (IL-16; also known as Interleukin 16, IL16, LCF, NIL16, PRIL16, prIL-16) in research samples. The kit uses a double-antibody format with colorimetric detection and is suitable for serum, plasma, cell culture supernatant, cell or tissue lysate, and other liquid samples. IL-16 (UniProt O54824) is a cytokine of interest in cell biology research, with reported roles in regulating immune responses and inflammation and dysregulation implicated in asthma, autoimmune disorders, and inflammatory conditions.

Reported performance specifications include a sensitivity of 9.375 pg/mL and an assay range of 15.625-1000 pg/mL. Linearity across dilutions (1:2, 1:4, 1:8; n=5) is reported as 92-102%, 85-98%, and 82-100% for serum; 89-98%, 84-100%, and 86-100% for EDTA plasma; and 85-102%, 92-95%, and 86-97% for heparin plasma. Spike-recovery averages are reported as 97% for serum (range 88-100%), 94% for EDTA plasma (range 85-104%), and 96% for heparin plasma (range 92-102%).

The six-step protocol includes reagent and plate preparation, primary incubation at 37°C for 90 minutes, biotin-labeled detection antibody binding for 60 minutes, HRP-Streptavidin binding for 30 minutes, TMB color development in the dark for 10-20 minutes, and stop reaction with absorbance measurement at 450 nm. Sample preparation guidance is provided for serum, plasma, tissue homogenate, cell culture supernatant, and cell lysate. The kit is stored at 2-8°C for 12 months.
