Mouse IL-13 CLIA Kit (MOES00408)

Assay Genie supplies a chemiluminescence-based CLIA kit for the in vitro quantitative determination of Mouse IL-13 in serum, plasma and other biological fluids. The assay uses a Sandwich-CLIA principle on a pre-coated microplate; a biotinylated detection antibody and Avidin-HRP conjugate bind the captured analyte, and the Relative Light Unit (RLU) value read on a chemiluminescence immunoassay analyzer is proportional to the Mouse IL-13 concentration in the sample.

Reported performance characteristics include a sensitivity of 7.50 pg/mL and a detection range of 12.50-800 pg/mL, with a sample volume of 100 μL and an assay time of 4.5 hours. No significant cross-reactivity or interference between Mouse IL-13 and analogues was observed, and both intra-assay and inter-assay CV are reported as < 15%. Recovery in serum (n=5) was 91-105% (average 98%), in EDTA plasma (n=5) 92-107% (average 100%), and in cell culture media (n=5) 95-110% (average 102%). The kit recognises Mouse IL-13, also referred to by the synonyms IL13, ALRH, BHR1 and P600, and is reactive with mouse samples.

Mouse IL-13 is a cytokine involved in regulating immune responses, particularly in allergic and inflammatory conditions, with roles in modulating inflammation, airway hyperresponsiveness and tissue remodeling, making it a biomarker of interest in conditions such as asthma, atopic dermatitis and autoimmune diseases.
