Mouse IL-12a ELISA Kit

From Assay Genie, this colourimetric Sandwich ELISA kit is designed for the quantitative detection of mouse Interleukin-12 subunit alpha (IL-12a), also known as cytotoxic lymphocyte maturation factor 35 kDa subunit, IL-12 subunit p35, and CLMF p35. The kit recognises natural and recombinant mouse IL-12 subunit alpha and is reactive with mouse samples. Suitable sample types include serum, plasma, tissue homogenates, cell culture supernates and other biological fluids. The product is for research use only in the area of immunology.

According to the manufacturer's specifications, the assay has a detection range of 0.156-10 ng/mL and a sensitivity of 0.085 ng/mL. Reported precision is 5.4% intra-assay CV and 7.9% inter-assay CV. Linearity has been established across 1:2 to 1:16 dilutions: serum (N=5) ranges 83-121%, EDTA plasma (N=5) ranges 80-119%, and heparin plasma (N=5) ranges 92-117%. Recovery averages 91% for serum (range 85-97%) and 93% for plasma (range 87-99%).

The target analyte is a secreted cytokine that belongs to the IL-6 superfamily. It forms a disulfide-linked heterodimer with IL12B, known as interleukin-12, and functions as a growth factor for activated T and NK cells, enhances the lytic activity of NK/lymphokine-activated killer cells, and stimulates IFN-gamma production by resting PBMC.
