Description

This sandwich ELISA kit from Assay Genie is configured in a double-antibody format for the quantitative detection of mouse IGFBP4 (Insulin-Like Growth Factor Binding Protein 4). It is designed to support research applications and is compatible with serum, plasma, cell culture supernatant, cell or tissue lysate, and other liquid samples. IGFBP4 regulates the availability of insulin-like growth factors and influences cell growth and differentiation, and its dysregulation has been linked to cancer, diabetes, and cardiovascular disorders, making it a candidate biomarker for studies of disease progression and treatment development.

Reported sensitivity is 0.375 ng/mL with a working range of 0.625-40 ng/mL. The kit should be stored at 2-8°C for up to 12 months. Linearity for serum (n=5) was 91-100% at 1:2, 86-105% at 1:4, and 85-105% at 1:8; for EDTA plasma (n=5) was 87-91%, 82-96%, and 83-92% at the same dilutions; and for heparin plasma (n=5) was 84-96%, 92-98%, and 86-100%. Average recovery was 94% for serum, 91% for EDTA plasma, and 93% for heparin plasma.

The assay procedure involves equilibrating reagents and TMB substrate to room temperature, loading standards, samples and controls onto the pre-coated plate, and incubating at 37°C for 90 minutes. A biotin-labeled detection antibody is then added and incubated at 37°C for 60 minutes, followed by HRP-Streptavidin (SABC) for 30 minutes at 37°C. TMB substrate is added and the plate is incubated in the dark for 10-20 minutes, after which stop solution is added and absorbance is read at 450 nm. Sample preparation guidance covers serum, plasma, tissue homogenate, cell culture supernatant, and cell lysate.
