Mouse IGFBP-3 ELISA Kit

From Assay Genie, this Sandwich ELISA kit uses a double-antibody, colorimetric format to measure Insulin-Like Growth Factor Binding Protein 3 (IGFBP-3), a key regulator of insulin-like growth factor activity that has been implicated in cancer, diabetes, and metabolic disorders. The kit is reactive with mouse samples and is validated for serum, plasma, cell culture supernatant, cell or tissue lysate, and other liquid samples.

Quantitative performance is reported with a sensitivity of 0.75 ng/mL across a working range of 1.25-80 ng/mL, and all components are intended to be stored at 2-8°C for up to 12 months. In dilution-linearity testing, serum recoveries spanned 93-101%, 82-101%, and 80-100% at 1:2, 1:4, and 1:8 dilutions; EDTA plasma spanned 89-103%, 84-98%, and 83-98%; and heparin plasma spanned 91-103%, 85-100%, and 84-98%. Spike-and-recovery testing gave 89-105% in serum (average 96%), 89-104% in EDTA plasma (average 99%), and 92-104% in heparin plasma (average 98%).

The assay procedure involves reagent equilibration, a 37°C primary incubation of 90 minutes, biotin-labelled detection antibody binding for 60 minutes, HRP-streptavidin binding for 30 minutes, TMB colour development in the dark for 10-20 minutes, and a final absorbance read at 450 nm. The kit recognises IGFBP-3 under the synonyms IGFBP3, BP-53, and IBP3, corresponding to UniProt entry P47878.
