Mouse Hypoxanthine Phosphoribosyltransferase 1 (HPRT1) ELISA Kit

The Mouse HPRT1 ELISA Kit from Assay Genie provides a quantitative immunoassay for measuring HPRT1 protein in mouse tissue homogenates, cell lysates, and other biological specimens. HPRT1 encodes the housekeeping enzyme hypoxanthine-guanine phosphoribosyltransferase, which catalyzes the salvage of purine bases into the nucleotide pool. Mutations in this gene are clinically associated with Lesch-Nyhan syndrome and have also been implicated in gout, immunodeficiency, and tumor cell proliferation studies.

Because HPRT1 expression is generally stable across diverse cell types and experimental conditions, this two-antibody capture-and-detection format is frequently used by investigators to validate HPRT1 as a normalization control alongside housekeeping gene studies in qPCR, Western blot, and reporter gene assays.
