Mouse Hyaluronan synthase 2 (Has2) ELISA Kit

A sandwich ELISA from Assay Genie for the quantitative determination of mouse Hyaluronan synthase 2 (HAS2). The assay is reactive with mouse samples and recognises both natural and recombinant mouse Hyaluronan synthase 2. Compatible sample types include serum, plasma, tissue homogenates, cell culture supernates and other biological fluids. The reported detection range is 78–5000 pg/ml with a sensitivity of 39.3 pg/mL. Intra-assay CV is 4.2% and inter-assay CV is 6.2%, and detection is colorimetric.

HAS2 is a membrane multi-pass protein that catalyses the addition of GlcNAc or GlcUA monosaccharides to the nascent hyaluronan polymer and is particularly responsible for the synthesis of high molecular mass hyaluronan. It has a structural role in tissue architecture and regulates cell adhesion, migration and differentiation. The enzyme is required for the transition of endocardial cushion cells into mesenchymal cells during heart development and has also been linked to vasculogenesis and early contact inhibition.
