Mouse Huntingtin (Htt) ELISA Kit

Assay Genie's Mouse Huntingtin (Htt) ELISA Kit is a sandwich ELISA designed for the quantitative measurement of huntingtin levels in mouse serum, plasma and cell culture supernatants. It is intended for research applications in the neurosciences, particularly the study of Huntington's disease, in which abnormal huntingtin aggregation leads to neuronal dysfunction and cell death.

Reported performance includes a detection range of 78-5000pg/mL and a sensitivity of 39.9pg/mL. Intra-assay CV is 4.8% and inter-assay CV is 7.9%. Recovery in serum averages 99% (range 93-105%) and in plasma 101% (range 95-107%). The assay recognises natural and recombinant mouse huntingtin and is suitable for serum, plasma, tissue homogenates, cell culture supernates and other biological fluids. According to the manufacturer's protein annotation, huntingtin may play a role in microtubule-mediated transport or vesicle function and is reported to shuttle between the cytoplasm and nucleus.
