Mouse Hormone-sensitive lipase (Lipe) ELISA Kit

Assay Genie offers a sandwich-format ELISA kit designed for the quantitative detection of mouse hormone-sensitive lipase (Lipe), also known as HSL. The assay is reactive with mouse and is suitable for use with serum, plasma, tissue homogenates, cell culture supernates and other biological fluids.

The kit provides a detection range of 1.56–100 U/L with a sensitivity of 0.78 U/L. Intra-assay precision is reported at a CV of 7.0% and inter-assay precision at 8.7%. Specificity is directed against natural and recombinant mouse hormone-sensitive lipase. Recovery in serum averages 99% (range 93–105%) and in plasma averages 101% (range 95–107%).

Hormone-sensitive lipase is a lipolytic enzyme of the GDXG family that plays a rate-limiting role in triglyceride lipolysis. In adipose tissue and heart it primarily hydrolyzes stored triglycerides to free fatty acids, while in steroidogenic tissues it principally converts cholesteryl esters to free cholesterol for steroid hormone production. The kit is intended for research use only and supports studies in metabolism and related metabolic disorders such as obesity, diabetes and cardiovascular disease.
