Mouse HO-1/HMOX1/HSP32 ELISA Kit

Assay Genie provides a sandwich ELISA, double antibody kit designed for the quantitative measurement of heme oxygenase-1 (also known as HMOX1 or HSP32) in mouse samples. The colorimetric kit supports detection across a range of biological matrices, including serum, plasma, cell culture supernatant, cell or tissue lysate, and other liquid samples.

Performance characteristics include a sensitivity of 9.375 pg/mL and an assay range of 15.625–1000 pg/mL. The kit is stored at 2–8°C for 12 months. Linearity has been reported for serum (n=5) at 89–103%, 82–98% and 87–98% for 1:2, 1:4 and 1:8 dilutions, for EDTA plasma (n=5) at 88–104%, 86–99% and 80–97%, and for heparin plasma (n=5) at 87–105%, 85–98% and 85–97%. Recovery values are 91–104% (average 94%) for serum, 91–99% (average 95%) for EDTA plasma, and 85–104% (average 93%) for heparin plasma. The associated UniProt reference is P14901.

Heme oxygenase-1 is an enzyme that catalyses the breakdown of heme, producing biliverdin, carbon monoxide and iron, and contributes to cellular defence against oxidative stress and inflammation. Quantitative measurement of HO-1 in mouse models is used to study oxidative stress, inflammation and cellular homeostasis, with research applications in cardiovascular disease, neurodegenerative disorders and cancer.
