Mouse Histone deacetylase 8 (Hdac8) ELISA Kit

Also known by the synonym HD8, the target has UniProt accession Q8VH37. The assay is compatible with serum, plasma, tissue homogenates, cell culture supernates and other biological fluids, and detects both natural and recombinant mouse HDAC8. The detection range is 0.625-40 ng/mL with a sensitivity of 0.324 ng/mL.

HDAC8 is a critical enzyme that removes acetyl groups from lysine residues on the N-terminal part of core histones (H2A, H2B, H3 and H4) to regulate gene expression, and its dysregulation has been linked to cancer, inflammatory disorders, and neurological conditions, making it a valuable target for therapeutic research. The target protein is located in the nucleus and cytoplasm and is involved in the deacetylation of cohesin complex protein SMC3, with a potential role in smooth muscle cell contractility.
