Mouse Hexosaminidase B Beta (HEXb) ELISA Kit

The encoded beta subunit assembles into a beta-beta homodimer that hydrolyses terminal N-acetylhexosamine residues from glycoconjugates inside the lysosome, and loss-of-function mutations in the HEXB gene cause Sandhoff disease, a GM2 gangliosidosis widely studied in the mouse. Researchers in lysosomal storage disorder biology, sphingolipid catabolism, neurodegeneration, and substrate-specificity screens use this assay to benchmark HEXb levels across tissue lysates and blood-derived fractions.
