Description

Designed for the precise measurement of mouse HNRNPA2B1, this sandwich ELISA kit from Assay Genie supports quantification of the heterogeneous nuclear ribonucleoproteins A2/B1 target in serum, plasma, tissue homogenates, cell culture supernates, and other biological fluids. The colorimetric assay detects natural and recombinant mouse HNRNPA2B1 and is suited to research on RNA binding, splicing, and gene regulation, where dysregulation of HNRNPA2B1 has been linked to cancer, neurological disorders, and autoimmune conditions.

According to manufacturer specifications, the detection range is 0.312–20 ng/mL with a sensitivity of 0.159 ng/mL. Intra-assay CV is 6.8% and inter-assay CV is 8.3%. Across dilutions of 1:2 to 1:16, linearity spans 100–116% in serum, 86–119% in EDTA plasma, and 96–120% in heparin plasma. Recovery averages 101% (range 95–107%) in serum and 103% (range 97–109%) in plasma.

HNRNPA2B1 is a heterogeneous nuclear ribonucleoprotein that associates with nascent pre-mRNAs and contributes to transcription, pre-mRNA processing, RNA nuclear export, mRNA translation, and stability of mature mRNAs. It transports specific mRNAs to the cytoplasm in oligodendrocytes and neurons via A2RE/A2RE11 sequence motifs, binds single-stranded telomeric DNA, recognises N6-methyladenosine marks on pri-miRNAs, and contributes to miRNA sorting into exosomes following sumoylation. The protein is localised to the nucleus, nucleoplasm, cytoplasmic granules, and exosomes, and is found in the spliceosome C complex and IGF2BP1-dependent mRNP granules, with reported interactions with IGF2BP1, C9orf72, DGCR8, TARDBP, and CKAP5. Synonyms include hnRNP A2/B1 and Hnrpa2b1; UniProt accession O88569. Research area: Epigenetics. For research use only.
