Mouse Hephaestin (Heph) ELISA Kit

A sandwich ELISA from Assay Genie for the quantitative measurement of mouse Hephaestin (also known as Kiaa0698) in biological samples including serum, plasma, tissue homogenates, cell culture supernates and other biological fluids. The assay uses colorimetric detection and is specific for natural and recombinant mouse Hephaestin.

Hephaestin may function as a ferroxidase for ferrous (II) to ferric ion (III) conversion and may be involved in copper transport and homeostasis. It is implicated in iron homeostasis and may mediate iron efflux associated to ferroportin 1. Dysregulation of hephaestin has been linked to disorders such as iron deficiency anemia and hemochromatosis. The product is intended for research use only.

The kit has a detection range of 78-5000pg/mL and a sensitivity of 39.7pg/mL. It is shipped at +4°C and is supplied in a solid-phase format, with reagents stored at -20°C.
