Mouse Hepatocyte growth factor (Hgf) ELISA Kit

A sandwich-format immunoassay from Assay Genie, the Mouse Hepatocyte growth factor (Hgf) ELISA Kit is developed for the quantitative measurement of HGF in mouse samples. The kit is for research use only and is classified under the Signal Transduction research area. Detection is colorimetric, with optical density read at 450 nm.

Validated sample types include serum, plasma, tissue homogenates, cell culture supernates and other biological fluids. The assay has a detection range of 0.156-10ng/mL and a sensitivity of 0.078ng/mL. Intra-assay CV is reported at 7.7% and inter-assay CV at 9.8%. Linearity has been established in serum (87-116%), EDTA plasma (83-119%) and heparin plasma (100-117%) across serial dilutions. Recovery averages 91% (85-97%) in serum and 93% (87-99%) in plasma. The assay is specific for natural and recombinant mouse Hepatocyte growth factor.

HGF, also known as Hepatopoietin-A or Scatter factor (SF), is referenced under UniProt Q08048. It acts as a potent mitogen for mature parenchymal hepatocyte cells, appears to be a hepatotrophic factor, and functions as a growth factor for a broad spectrum of tissues and cell types. HGF is an activating ligand for the receptor tyrosine kinase MET, binding to it and promoting its dimerization. The protein is a dimer of an alpha chain and a beta chain linked by a disulfide bond.
