LIPC — also known as hepatic lipase, HL, or Hpl — is a secreted enzyme central to lipid metabolism. It catalyses the hydrolysis of phospholipids, mono-, di-, and triglycerides, and acyl-CoA thioesters, and is an important player in HDL metabolism, where it binds heparin. The kit is supplied for research use only and supports studies within the cardiovascular research area focused on lipid homeostasis and related metabolic disorders (UniProt P27656).

Manufacturer-stated performance for natural and recombinant mouse LIPC is a detection range of 1.56-100ng/mL and a sensitivity of 0.83ng/mL.
