Mouse Heme oxygenase 2 (Hmox2) ELISA Kit

Assay Genie offers this Sandwich ELISA Kit for the detection of Heme Oxygenase-2 (Hmox2) levels in mouse samples, with reactivity confirmed for mouse and validation across serum, plasma, tissue homogenates, cell culture supernates and other biological fluids.

The kit provides a detection range of 0.312-20ng/mL with a sensitivity of 0.166ng/mL. Intra-assay CV is 6.7% and inter-assay CV is 9.3%. Linearity in serum (n=5) ranges from 103-111% at 1:2 to 85-97% at 1:8 dilution; EDTA plasma linearity ranges from 109-119% to 104-114%; heparin plasma ranges from 95-104% to 94-104% across dilutions from 1:2 to 1:16. Recovery is 97% in serum (range 91-103%) and 99% in plasma (range 93-105%).

Heme oxygenase 2 cleaves the heme ring at the alpha methene bridge to form biliverdin, which is converted to bilirubin by biliverdin reductase; the enzyme could be implicated in the production of carbon monoxide in brain where it may act as a neurotransmitter.
