Description

A sandwich ELISA kit from Assay Genie is designed for the quantitative measurement of mouse heat-stable enterotoxin receptor (GUCY2C) in serum, plasma, tissue homogenates, cell culture supernates, and other biological fluids. The assay detects natural and recombinant mouse GUCY2C and is intended for research use only.

The reported detection range is 0.156–10 ng/mL with a sensitivity of 0.095 ng/mL. Intra-assay precision is 6.4% (CV) and inter-assay precision is 8.2% (CV). Dilution linearity has been evaluated in serum, EDTA plasma, and heparin plasma at 1:2, 1:4, 1:8, and 1:16 ratios, and recovery has been validated for serum (average 95%, range 89–101%) and plasma (average 97%, range 91–103%).

GUCY2C (also known as Guanylyl cyclase C, Intestinal guanylate cyclase, GC-C, STA receptor, and Guc2c) acts as a receptor for the E. coli heat-stable enterotoxin, mediating accumulation of cGMP in mammalian cells expressing GC-C, and is additionally activated by the endogenous peptide guanylin. The kit is classified within the metabolism research area.
