Mouse Heat shock 70 kDa protein 1A (Hspa1a) ELISA Kit

From Assay Genie, this colorimetric sandwich ELISA enables the quantitative measurement of mouse Heat shock 70 kDa protein 1A (Hspa1a), also referred to by the synonyms Heat shock 70 kDa protein 3, Hsp68, HSP70.3, Hsp70-3 and Hsp70A1. The assay is reactive with mouse serum, plasma, tissue homogenates, cell culture supernates and other biological fluids, and shows specificity for natural and recombinant mouse Hspa1a.

Reported performance includes a detection range of 0.156-10 ng/mL and a sensitivity of 0.078 ng/mL. Intra-assay precision is 4.2% CV and inter-assay precision is 6.4% CV. Spike-and-recovery has been characterised in serum (average 96%, range 90-102%) and plasma (average 98%, range 92-104%).

Hspa1a acts as a molecular chaperone central to protein folding, transport and the refolding or degradation of misfolded substrates, and supports cellular homeostasis under stress. Dysregulation of Hspa1a has been associated in the literature with cancer, neurodegenerative disorders and inflammatory conditions, making it a useful biomarker for related research.
