Mouse HDL/High Density Lipoprotein ELISA Kit

A sandwich ELISA, double antibody format kit from Assay Genie designed for the precise measurement of high density lipoprotein (HDL) in mouse samples. It supports research into the role of HDL in lipid metabolism and cardiovascular health, where HDL is known for removing cholesterol from cells and transporting it to the liver for excretion. Monitoring HDL levels in mouse models is relevant for studies of cardiovascular diseases, metabolic disorders, and related conditions.

Validated sample types include serum, plasma, cell culture supernatant, cell or tissue lysate, and other liquid samples. The kit uses a colorimetric detection method with absorbance measured at 450 nm. Reported sensitivity is 0.188 nmol/mL and the standard curve range is 0.313–20 nmol/mL. Unopened kit components are stored at 2–8°C for 12 months.

Spike-and-recovery values are reported as 86–104% (average 93%) for serum, 88–104% (average 96%) for EDTA plasma, and 94–105% (average 100%) for heparin plasma. Dilution linearity at 1:2, 1:4, and 1:8 dilutions is reported as 88–102%, 88–104%, and 87–100% for serum; 83–100%, 84–94%, and 84–92% for EDTA plasma; and 83–96%, 90–92%, and 82–94% for heparin plasma. The assay workflow uses a biotin-labelled detection antibody, HRP-streptavidin, and TMB substrate, with absorbance read at 450 nm after the addition of stop solution.
