Mouse HB-EGF/HBEGF ELISA Kit

Assay Genie provides a sandwich ELISA, double antibody kit designed for the quantitative measurement of mouse HB-EGF (HBEGF) in serum, plasma, cell culture supernatant, cell or tissue lysate, and other liquid samples. HB-EGF is described as a vital protein involved in cell growth, proliferation, migration, tissue repair, wound healing, and development, making it a useful biomarker for studying these biological processes.

According to the manufacturer's specifications, the kit has a sensitivity of 9.375 pg/mL and a working range of 15.625-1000 pg/mL, with components stored at 2-8°C for 12 months. Validation data report linearity across dilution factors of 1:2, 1:4, and 1:8: serum samples (n = 5) showed 87-101%, 90-105%, and 87-100%; EDTA plasma samples (n = 5) showed 82-100%, 85-98%, and 83-101%; and heparin plasma samples (n = 5) showed 84-96%, 82-97%, and 81-99%. Spike-and-recovery values averaged 98% for serum (range 94-102%), 95% for EDTA plasma (range 90-105%), and 95% for heparin plasma (range 89-101%).

The assay uses a biotinylated detection antibody with HRP-Streptavidin and a TMB substrate, with absorbance read at 450 nm after a stop solution is added. Primary incubation is performed at 37°C for 90 minutes, detection antibody binding for 60 minutes, and HRP-Streptavidin incubation for 30 minutes.
