Mouse H2afx/Histone H2A.x ELISA Kit

A sandwich ELISA kit from Assay Genie designed for the in vitro quantitative determination of mouse H2AFX (Histone H2A.X) concentrations in serum, plasma and other biological fluids. The assay is reactive with mouse samples and is for research use only. Histone H2A.X is a variant histone that replaces conventional H2A in a subset of nucleosomes and is required for checkpoint-mediated arrest of cell cycle progression in response to low doses of ionizing radiation, as well as for efficient repair of DNA double-strand breaks.

The kit reports a sensitivity of 18.75 pg/ml and an assay range of 31.25–2000 pg/ml. Reported recovery across matrices is 86–101% (average 90%) for serum, 93–98% (average 96%) for EDTA plasma and 96–101% (average 98%) for UFH plasma. Precision is given as intra-assay CV <8% and inter-assay CV <10%. Kit components are stored at 4 °C for six months, with the lyophilized standard additionally permitted at –20 °C. Included components are a dismountable ELISA microplate (8–12 strips), lyophilized standard, sample/standard dilution buffer, concentrated biotin-labelled antibody, antibody dilution buffer, HRP-streptavidin conjugate (SABC), SABC dilution buffer, TMB substrate, stop solution, 25X wash buffer and plate sealer. A microplate reader with a 450 nm filter, multichannel pipettes, an incubator, deionized water and other standard laboratory materials are required but not provided.
