Mouse Growth arrest-specific protein 6 (Gas6) ELISA Kit

A sandwich ELISA from Assay Genie provides quantitative measurement of mouse Growth arrest-specific protein 6 (Gas6) in serum, plasma, tissue homogenates, cell culture supernates and other biological fluids. The assay shows specificity for natural and recombinant mouse Gas6, with a detection range of 0.312-20ng/mL and a sensitivity of 0.156ng/mL.

Intra- and inter-assay coefficients of variation are reported at 7.5% and 10.0%. Linearity across dilutions 1:2, 1:4, 1:8 and 1:16 spans 99-109%, 92-101%, 86-86% and 104-116% in serum; 100-112%, 107-117%, 101-112% and 103-113% in EDTA plasma; and 107-117%, 106-115%, 114-114% and 90-99% in heparin plasma (each N=5). Recovery averages are 91% for serum (range 85-97%) and 93% for plasma (range 87-99%).

Gas6 acts as a ligand for the tyrosine-protein kinase receptors AXL, TYRO3 and MER and contributes to cell growth, survival, adhesion and migration. GAS6/AXL signaling has been implicated in endothelial cell survival during acidification, natural killer cell development, hepatic regeneration, gonadotropin-releasing hormone neuron survival and migration, platelet activation and regulation of thrombotic responses. The protein is secreted and is associated with cardiovascular research.
