Mouse Glycylpeptide N-tetradecanoyltransferase 1 (Nmt1) ELISA Kit

From Assay Genie, this sandwich ELISA kit is designed for the quantitative detection of mouse Glycylpeptide N-tetradecanoyltransferase 1 (NMT1). The assay is intended for research use only and is suited to studies in cancer biology, where NMT1 — an enzyme that adds a myristoyl group to the N-terminal glycine residue of certain cellular and viral proteins, and which is required for normal embryogenesis — is of interest.

The kit reacts with mouse samples and has been validated for serum, plasma, tissue homogenates, cell culture supernatants and other biological fluids. Specificity is established for natural and recombinant mouse NMT1. The assay reports a detection range of 0.156–10 ng/mL with a sensitivity of 0.087 ng/mL. Precision is given as an intra-assay CV of 6.3% and an inter-assay CV of 7.9%.

Linearity has been evaluated across dilution factors of 1:2, 1:4, 1:8 and 1:16 in serum, EDTA plasma and heparin plasma. Recovery is reported at an average of 92% for serum (range 86–98%) and 94% for plasma (range 88–100%). The kit is supplied with reagents and a protocol covering sample preparation, incubation, washing steps and optical density readout at 450 nm, along with component storage conditions.
