Mouse Glycogen synthase kinase-3 alpha (Gsk3a) ELISA Kit

Assay Genie provides a Sandwich ELISA Kit for the quantitative detection of mouse Glycogen synthase kinase-3 alpha (GSK3A). The kit is reactive with mouse samples and validated for use with serum, plasma, tissue homogenates, cell culture supernates and other biological fluids, recognizing both natural and recombinant mouse GSK3A (also known as Serine/threonine-protein kinase GSK3A / GSK-3 alpha).

Performance characteristics include a detection range of 0.312-20ng/mL and a sensitivity of 0.16ng/mL. Intra-assay precision is reported at 7.4% (Intra CV) and inter-assay precision at 9.4% (Inter CV). Linearity has been demonstrated across dilution factors: serum (N=5) 101-120%, EDTA plasma (N=5) 84-120%, and heparin plasma (N=5) 82-111%. Recovery averages 98% (range 92-104) in serum and 100% (range 94-106) in plasma.

GSK3A is a constitutively active protein kinase that acts as a negative regulator in the hormonal control of glucose homeostasis, Wnt signaling and regulation of transcription factors and microtubules, phosphorylating and inactivating glycogen synthase (GYS1/GYS2), CTNNB1/beta-catenin, APC and AXIN1. It contributes to insulin regulation of glycogen synthesis, may mediate the development of insulin resistance, facilitates amyloid precursor protein (APP) processing and amyloid plaque generation relevant to Alzheimer disease, and is required for establishing neuronal polarity and axon outgrowth.
