GSTA4 is an enzyme that catalyses the conjugation of reduced glutathione to a wide number of exogenous and endogenous hydrophobic electrophiles, and contributes to the detoxification of electrophilic compounds and the protection of cells from oxidative stress. The protein is a homodimer located in the cytoplasm (UniProt: P24472).
