Mouse Glutathione Peroxidase 3/GPX3 ELISA Kit

This Sandwich ELISA Kit from Assay Genie is designed for the quantitative detection of mouse Glutathione peroxidase 3 (Gpx3), also referred to as Plasma glutathione peroxidase, GPx-P, or GPx-3. The assay uses a colorimetric detection method and is intended for research use only.

The kit has a detection range of 0.78–50 ng/mL and a sensitivity of 0.33 ng/mL, with an intra-assay CV of 6.4% and an inter-assay CV of 9.0%. It is validated for use with serum, plasma, tissue homogenates, cell culture supernates and other biological fluids, and shows specificity for both natural and recombinant mouse Glutathione peroxidase 3. Sample recovery has been reported in serum (average 83%, range 80–89%) and plasma (average 85%, range 80–91%). The target protein is a secreted homotetramer associated with cancer research.

Gpx3 is an antioxidant enzyme that protects cells and enzymes from oxidative damage by catalysing the reduction of hydrogen peroxide, lipid peroxides and organic hydroperoxide by glutathione. It belongs to the glutathione peroxidase family, is referenced under UniProt P46412, and has a molecular weight of 25,424 Da.
