Mouse Glutathione peroxidase 1 (Gpx1) ELISA Kit

Assay Genie's sandwich ELISA kit is designed for the quantitative measurement of mouse Glutathione peroxidase 1 (GPX1), a selenium-dependent antioxidant enzyme that reduces hydrogen peroxide and lipid peroxides to protect cells from oxidative damage. Using a colorimetric detection method, the kit is validated for use with serum, plasma, tissue homogenates, cell culture supernates, and other biological fluids, supporting research into oxidative stress, inflammation, cancer, and neurodegenerative disorders in mouse models.

Reported performance characteristics include a detection range of 4.69–300 U/mL, a sensitivity of 2.369 U/mL, an intra-assay CV of 5.4%, and an inter-assay CV of 7.9%. Linearity in serum ranges from 86% to 120% across dilutions of 1:2 to 1:16, with EDTA plasma (99–109% to 95–105%) and heparin plasma (83–92% to 103–113%) showing comparable results. Recovery averages 105% (range 99–111%) for serum and 107% (range 101–113%) for plasma. The assay is specific for natural and recombinant mouse GPX1 and is for research use only.
