Mouse Glutaredoxin-1 (Glrx) ELISA Kit

Assay Genie provides this Sandwich ELISA Kit for the quantitative measurement of mouse Glutaredoxin-1 (Glrx). The assay uses a colorimetric detection method and is reactive with mouse. Validated sample types include serum, plasma, tissue homogenates, cell culture supernates and other biological fluids, with specificity for natural and recombinant mouse Glutaredoxin-1.

Performance figures include a detection range of 0.156-10ng/mL and a sensitivity of 0.089ng/mL. Intra-assay CV is 5.1% and inter-assay CV is 7.7%. Reported recovery is 83% (range 80-89%) for serum and 85% (range 80-91%) for plasma, with linearity validated at 1:2, 1:4, 1:8 and 1:16 dilutions for serum, EDTA plasma and heparin plasma samples. The kit is intended for research use only.

Glutaredoxin-1 is an oxidoreductase that exhibits glutathione-disulfide oxidoreductase activity in the presence of NADPH and glutathione reductase, reducing low molecular weight disulfides and proteins. It plays a role in regulating cellular redox balance and protecting cells from oxidative stress, and its dysregulation has been linked to cancer, cardiovascular disorders and neurodegenerative conditions. The protein is localised to the cytoplasm and is relevant to the Signal Transduction research area. Synonyms for the target include Thioltransferase-1, TTase-1, Glrx1, Grx and Grx1.
