Mouse Glucagon (Gcg) ELISA Kit

This sandwich ELISA kit from Assay Genie is designed for the quantitative measurement of mouse Glucagon (Gcg). The assay uses mouse-reactive reagents and is validated for serum, plasma, tissue homogenates, cell culture supernates and other biological fluids, with specificity for both natural and recombinant mouse Glucagon. Sensitivity is 8.04pg/mL and the detection range is 15.6-1000pg/mL. Intra-assay CV is 4.3% and inter-assay CV is 6.4%. Linearity in serum (N=5) ranges from 88-96% at 1:2 to 99-109% at 1:16 dilution, with EDTA plasma between 99-120% and heparin plasma between 82-119% across the same dilutions. Mean recovery is 101% in serum (range 95-107%) and 103% in plasma (range 97-109%). Glucagon is a secreted hormone that regulates blood glucose via gluconeogenesis and glycogenolysis and acts as a counterregulatory hormone of insulin; the related peptide glicentin may modulate gastric acid secretion and gastro-pyloro-duodenal activity.
