Mouse GFAP (glial fibrillary acidic protein) CLIA Kit (MOES00290)

A chemiluminescence-based sandwich immunoassay from Assay Genie, designed for the in vitro quantitative determination of Mouse Glial Fibrillary Acidic Protein (GFAP). The microplate is pre-coated with an antibody specific to Mouse GFAP; standards or samples are added, followed by a biotinylated detection antibody and Avidin-Horseradish Peroxidase (HRP) conjugate. The Relative Light Unit (RLU) is measured on a chemiluminescence immunoassay analyzer and is positively associated with Mouse GFAP concentration.

Reactive with mouse serum, plasma, and other biological fluids at a sample volume of 100 μL. Sensitivity is 4.69 pg/mL and the detection range is 7.81-500 pg/mL, with an assay time of 4.5 h. The kit shows no significant cross-reactivity or interference between Mouse GFAP and analogues. Both intra-assay and inter-assay CV values are reported as < 15%. Validation across serum (n=5), EDTA plasma (n=5), and cell culture media (n=5) showed linearity across 1:2 to 1:16 dilutions and average recoveries of 93% (serum), 102% (EDTA plasma), and 104% (cell culture media).

GFAP is a protein expressed by astrocytes in the central nervous system, and elevated levels are associated with brain injury, neurodegenerative diseases, and multiple sclerosis. Storage conditions include -20°C for the CLIA plate and 4°C (shading light) for substrate reagents, with a six-month shelf life.
