Mouse GDF6 ELISA Kit

Assay Genie provides a Mouse GDF6 ELISA Kit built on a Sandwich ELISA, double antibody format with colorimetric detection, designed for measuring Growth and Differentiation Factor 6 (GDF6) in mouse serum, plasma, cell culture supernatant, cell or tissue lysate, and other liquid samples. GDF6 is described as a key protein in the regulation of bone and cartilage development, playing a crucial role in skeletal growth and joint formation. Dysregulation of GDF6 has been linked to various musculoskeletal disorders, making it an important biomarker for research into skeletal development and disease pathology.

The kit reports a sensitivity of 0.188 ng/mL and an assay range of 0.313-20 ng/mL, with components stored at 2-8°C for 12 months. Linearity was tested in serum (n = 5) at 85-100%, 86-104%, and 86-104% across 1:2, 1:4, and 1:8 dilutions, in EDTA plasma (n = 5) at 83-97%, 85-99%, and 85-101%, and in heparin plasma (n = 5) at 82-99%, 80-96%, and 80-89%. Recovery averaged 95% in serum (range 87-102%), 94% in EDTA plasma (range 88-105%), and 96% in heparin plasma (range 89-98%).

The assay workflow includes reagent and plate preparation, primary incubation at 37°C for 90 minutes, biotin-labeled detection antibody binding for 60 minutes, HRP-Streptavidin binding for 30 minutes, TMB substrate color development in the dark for 10-20 minutes, and absorbance reading at 450 nm after stop solution addition.
