Mouse GDF2/Growth Differentiation Factor 2 ELISA Kit

Sandwich ELISA from Assay Genie for the quantitative measurement of mouse Growth Differentiation Factor 2 (GDF2), also known as Bone Morphogenetic Protein 9 (BMP-9). The assay uses a double-antibody sandwich format with colorimetric detection read at 450 nm, and is validated for use with serum, plasma, cell culture supernatant, cell or tissue lysate, and other liquid samples of mouse origin.

The assay reports a sensitivity of 7.5 pg/mL and a working range of 12.5–800 pg/mL. Linearity has been demonstrated across 1:2, 1:4, and 1:8 dilutions in serum (90–101%, 93–101%, 80–99%), EDTA plasma (88–105%, 83–96%, 80–97%), and heparin plasma (91–105%, 84–99%, 89–100%). Spike-recovery averages 97% in serum (range 86–105%), 95% in EDTA plasma (range 85–103%), and 96% in heparin plasma (range 86–103%).

GDF2 is described as a critical factor in regulating cell growth and differentiation, with reported roles in skeletal development, cardiovascular function, and liver regeneration; its dysregulation has been linked to several disease states, supporting its use as a biomarker in cardiovascular and related research.
