Mouse GDF11 ELISA Kit

A highly sensitive and specific sandwich ELISA from Assay Genie, intended for the in vitro quantitative determination of Mouse GDF11 (Growth Differentiation Factor 11) in serum, plasma and other biological fluids, including tissue homogenates. The kit is reactive with mouse samples.

GDF11 is a secreted signalling protein belonging to the TGF-beta superfamily, where it acts globally to specify positional identity along the anterior/posterior axis during development and plays critical roles in patterning both mesodermal and neural tissues and in establishing the skeletal pattern. The protein has been implicated in muscle regeneration, neural development and aging, making it a valuable biomarker for research into these areas. The assay has a reported sensitivity of 9.375 pg/ml and a standard range of 15.625–1000 pg/ml. Spike-and-recovery in serum (n=5) was 87–104% (average 95%), in EDTA plasma (n=5) 87–99% (average 94%), and in UFH plasma (n=5) 87–100% (average 95%). Linearity across 1:2, 1:4 and 1:8 dilutions was 87–104% / 95–104% / 85–102% for serum, 83–101% / 84–98% / 85–99% for EDTA plasma and 86–97% / 81–91% / 84–98% for UFH plasma. Intra-assay CV is reported as <8% and inter-assay CV as <10%. Kit components are stored at 4°C for 6 months. For Research Use Only.
