A competitive binding immunoassay from Assay Genie quantifies gastrin in mouse serum and cell culture supernatant samples for gastrointestinal and metabolic research. Gastrin is the principal peptide hormone secreted by antral and duodenal G cells, driving parietal cell acid secretion and supporting mucosal growth in the stomach, and it serves as a key biomarker in rodent models of peptic ulcer disease, gastrinoma biology, and enterochromaffin-like cell hyperplasia.
