Mouse GAS 6/Growth arrest-specific protein 6 ELISA Kit

From Assay Genie, this colorimetric sandwich ELISA uses a double-antibody format to quantify mouse Growth Arrest-Specific Protein 6 (GAS6) in serum, plasma, cell culture supernatant, cell or tissue lysates, and other liquid samples. GAS6 is described as a vital protein involved in mediating cell growth, survival and signaling, with roles in inflammation, immune response and cell adhesion, and its dysregulation has been implicated in cancer, autoimmune disorders and cardiovascular disease.

The kit has a sensitivity of 46.875 pg/mL and a working range of 78.125-5000 pg/mL. Reported linearity in serum (n=5) is 93-101% at 1:2, 86-99% at 1:4 and 83-94% at 1:8; in EDTA plasma (n=5) 88-105%, 85-96% and 81-100%; and in heparin plasma (n=5) 90-102%, 83-96% and 80-96%. Spike-and-recovery averages are 93% for serum, 94% for EDTA plasma and 92% for heparin plasma. Unopened components are stored at 2-8°C for 12 months.

The procedure involves equilibrating reagents and TMB substrate to room temperature, loading standards, samples and a zero control onto the pre-coated plate, and incubating at 37°C for 90 minutes. A biotin-labeled detection antibody is added for 60 minutes at 37°C, followed by HRP-Streptavidin (SABC) for 30 minutes. TMB substrate is then incubated in the dark for 10-20 minutes before stop solution is added and absorbance read at 450 nm.
