Mouse Gamma-aminobutyric acid receptor subunit alpha-2 (Gabra2) ELISA Kit

Designed for the quantitative measurement of mouse Gamma-aminobutyric acid receptor subunit alpha-2 (Gabra2), this colorimetric ELISA kit from Assay Genie supports research into GABA receptor function and neurological pathology. The assay detects natural and recombinant mouse Gabra2 and has been validated in serum, plasma, tissue homogenates, cell culture supernates, and other biological fluids.

Performance characteristics include a detection range of 0.156–10 ng/mL and a sensitivity of 0.084 ng/mL. Intra-assay precision is reported at 8.3% CV and inter-assay precision at 9.9% CV. Linearity in serum spans 87–120%, EDTA plasma 87–117%, and heparin plasma 83–124% across serial dilutions. Recovery averages 100% (range 94–106%) in serum and 102% (range 96–108%) in plasma.

GABRA2 is a subunit of the GABA(A) receptor complex, which mediates neuronal inhibition by binding GABA and opening an integral chloride channel. Dysregulation of GABRA2 has been implicated in neurological disorders including epilepsy, anxiety, and addiction, making this kit relevant to studies of neurotransmission and central nervous system function.
