Mouse Galectin-3-binding protein (Lgals3bp) ELISA Kit

The assay is reactive with mouse samples and has been validated by the manufacturer for serum, plasma, tissue homogenates, cell culture supernates and other biological fluids.

Quoted performance characteristics include a detection range of 31.2-2000 pg/mL and a sensitivity of 13.8 pg/mL. Precision is reported as an intra-assay CV of 5.3% and an inter-assay CV of 7.8%. Linearity was assessed in serum, EDTA plasma and heparin plasma at dilutions of 1:2, 1:4, 1:8 and 1:16, with reported ranges spanning 83-91% to 114-124% depending on matrix and dilution. Spike-and-recovery testing gave average values of 101% for serum (range 95-107%) and 103% for plasma (range 97-109%). The kit specifically recognises natural and recombinant mouse Galectin-3-binding protein.

LGALS3BP is a secreted protein implicated in integrin-mediated cell adhesion and may stimulate host defense against viruses and tumor cells. The analyte is associated with cancer, inflammation and fibrosis and is also known by the synonyms Cyp-C-associated protein, Lectin galactoside-binding soluble 3-binding protein, Protein MAMA and CyCAP.
