Mouse GAL3/Galectin 3 ELISA Kit

A sandwich ELISA kit from Assay Genie designed for the precise measurement of Galectin-3 (Gal3) in mouse samples, also known as Mac-2 antigen, a multifunctional protein involved in cell adhesion, immune response regulation, and inflammation. The assay uses a colorimetric detection method, with a sensitivity of 18.75 pg/mL and an assay range of 31.25-2000 pg/mL. Validated sample types include serum, plasma, cell culture supernatant, cell or tissue lysate, and other liquid samples. The kit should be stored at 2-8°C for 12 months.

Elevated Gal3 levels have been linked to cancer, fibrosis, and cardiovascular disorders, making it a valuable biomarker for disease research. The assay procedure involves reagent and plate preparation, primary incubation at 37°C for 90 minutes, biotin-labeled detection antibody binding at 37°C for 60 minutes, HRP-streptavidin binding at 37°C for 30 minutes, TMB substrate development in the dark for 10-20 minutes, and a stop reaction with absorbance read at 450 nm.

Reported linearity values (n=5) at 1:2, 1:4, and 1:8 dilutions were: serum 96-104%, 83-97%, 81-94%; EDTA plasma 85-103%, 82-99%, 81-93%; and heparin plasma 87-104%, 82-100%, 80-91%. Recovery averages were 96% across all three matrices, with ranges of 93-100% for serum, 91-100% for EDTA plasma, and 87-102% for heparin plasma.
