Mouse GABRA2/GABA-A R alpha 2 ELISA Kit

This competitive ELISA kit from Assay Genie is designed for the quantitative detection of GABRA2 (GABA-A receptor alpha 2) in mouse samples. Using a colorimetric, competitive ELISA format with antigen-coated wells, it accepts serum, plasma, cell culture supernatant, cell or tissue lysates, and other liquid sample types. The kit supports research in neuroscience, where GABRA2 — a key regulator of inhibitory neurotransmission in the brain — has been implicated in disorders such as epilepsy, anxiety, and substance abuse.

Linearity in serum (n=10) was 88–105% at 1:2, 84–100% at 1:4, and 89–101% at 1:8, with comparable values for EDTA and heparin plasma. Average recovery was 92% in serum (range 85–101%), 97% in EDTA plasma (range 87–103%), and 92% in heparin plasma (range 86–101%). The kit includes a dismountable ELISA microplate, lyophilized standard, biotin-labeled antibody, HRP-streptavidin conjugate, TMB substrate, sample and antibody dilution buffers, SABC dilution buffer, wash buffer, stop solution, plate sealer, and a technical manual.

Unopened kits should be stored sealed at 2–8°C and should not be cryopreserved. The procedure involves a biotin-antibody binding incubation at 37°C for 45 minutes, TMB color development, and absorbance measurement at 450 nm.
