Mouse G6PD/Glucose 6 Phosphate Dehydrogenase ELISA Kit

Assay Genie supplies a colorimetric sandwich ELISA in a double-antibody format for the quantification of Glucose-6-Phosphate Dehydrogenase (G6PD) in mouse samples. The kit is validated for serum, plasma, cell culture supernatant, cell or tissue lysate, and other liquid samples, and components are intended for storage at 2-8°C for 12 months.

Performance is characterised by a sensitivity of 9.375 pg/mL and a working range of 15.625-1000 pg/mL. Linearity has been established in serum (89-101% at 1:2, 83-98% at 1:4, 85-96% at 1:8), EDTA plasma (87-104%, 86-97%, 82-93%) and heparin plasma (86-93%, 82-100%, 80-98%). Recovery averages 98% in serum, 93% in EDTA plasma and 98% in heparin plasma. The procedure includes a 37°C primary incubation of 90 minutes, biotin-labelled detection antibody incubation of 60 minutes, HRP-Streptavidin incubation of 30 minutes, and TMB colour development in the dark for 10-20 minutes, with absorbance read at 450 nm.

G6PD is a key enzyme of the pentose phosphate pathway and an important regulator of cellular metabolism and redox balance. Dysregulation of the enzyme has been implicated in hemolytic anemia, diabetes and neurodegenerative disorders, supporting its use as a biomarker for metabolism research.
