FOXA2 is a forkhead-box family transcription factor that acts as a chromatin pioneer, opening compacted DNA to permit binding of lineage-defining regulators during endoderm specification and the development of liver, pancreas, lung, and gut-derived tissues. In adult tissues, it continues to regulate glucose and lipid handling and has been investigated as a biomarker in lung adenocarcinoma, pancreatic ductal adenocarcinoma, and colorectal carcinoma, making quantitative measurement of the protein relevant in developmental biology, metabolic disease research, and oncology workflows.

This immunoassay kit from Assay Genie is intended for research use and is configured for the detection of mouse FOXA2 in mouse-derived samples. It is supplied in a 96-assay plate format using an absorbance-based readout suitable for standard microplate readers. The kit is validated for tissue homogenates and cell lysates, accommodating clarified lysate from cultured cells or snap-frozen tissue preparations. A standard curve generated from the calibrators supplied with the kit allows quantification of FOXA2 across samples such as mouse embryonic stem cell-derived endodermal cultures, primary hepatocyte preparations, and tumor xenograft homogenates.

Common applications include studies of hepatic differentiation, pancreatic beta-cell maturation, lung epithelial lineage commitment, and tumor progression models where FOXA2 status is being characterized in disease research. The format supports standard ELISA workflows including sample incubation, washing, and signal development steps performed on a microplate.
