Mouse Follitropin subunit beta (Fshb) ELISA Kit

Assay Genie offers a sandwich ELISA kit designed for the detection of mouse Follitropin subunit beta (Fshb) in serum, plasma, tissue homogenates, cell culture supernates and other biological fluids. The assay is reactive with mouse samples and uses a colorimetric ELISA detection method, with absorbance read at 450 nm on a standard microplate reader.

Validated performance characteristics include a detection range of 0.0156-1mIU/mL and a sensitivity of 0.0078mIU/mL. Intra-assay CV is 4.5% and inter-assay CV is 7.8%. Linearity was demonstrated across dilutions of 1:2, 1:4, 1:8 and 1:16 in serum (N=5) at 99-109%, 109-119%, 95-105% and 91-100%; in EDTA plasma (N=5) at 103-115%, 103-112%, 93-103% and 96-107%; and in heparin plasma (N=5) at 107-117%, 103-113%, 107-116% and 100-110%. Recovery was 81% (range 80-87%) for serum and 83% (range 80-89%) for plasma. The antibody reagents recognise natural and recombinant mouse Follitropin subunit beta.

FSHB is a secreted heterodimer composed of a common alpha chain and a unique beta chain that confers biological specificity to follitropin and related glycoprotein hormones. The mouse protein (UniProt Q60687; NCBI Gene ID 14308) has a molecular weight of 14,919 Da and functions to stimulate development of the follicle and spermatogenesis in the reproductive organs.
