Mouse Follistatin-related protein 3 (Fstl3) ELISA Kit

FSTL3, also known by the synonyms Follistatin-like protein 3, Follistatin-related gene protein, and Flrg, is a secreted glycoprotein of the follistatin-module-protein family (UniProt: Q9EQC7). The secreted form binds and antagonizes members of the TGF-beta family, including activin, BMP2, and MSTN, and is more effective on activin A than on activin B. It plays a role in bone formation by inhibiting osteoclast differentiation and in hematopoiesis by contributing to the adhesion of hematopoietic precursor cells to bone marrow stroma. FSTL3 is implicated in conditions such as obesity, diabetes, and cardiovascular diseases, making it a valuable biomarker for research into these areas, as well as for studies of inflammation, cell differentiation, and metabolism. Performance characteristics include an intra-assay CV of 6.3% and inter-assay CV of 8.2%. Linearity in serum ranges from 84-94% at 1:2 dilution to 108-117% at 1:16; in EDTA plasma from 92-101% to 105-116%; and in heparin plasma from 90-99% to 108-118%.
