Mouse Follistatin ELISA Kit

From Assay Genie, this Sandwich ELISA Kit is designed for the precise quantification of follistatin in mouse serum, plasma, cell culture supernatant, cell or tissue lysate, and other liquid samples. The double-antibody sandwich format uses a biotin-labeled detection antibody, HRP-Streptavidin (SABC), and TMB substrate, with absorbance read at 450 nm.

Reported performance specifications include a sensitivity of 0.188 ng/mL and an assay range of 0.313–20 ng/mL. Spike-and-recovery testing in mouse matrices gave average recoveries of 97% in serum (range 89–105%), 99% in EDTA plasma (range 90–105%), and 93% in heparin plasma (range 91–95%). Linearity across 1:2 to 1:8 dilutions was 88–102%, 95–98%, and 87–101% in serum; 85–100%, 83–95%, and 84–101% in EDTA plasma; and 85–98%, 82–100%, and 80–94% in heparin plasma (all n=5).

Follistatin is an endogenous protein involved in the regulation of growth, differentiation, and tissue repair, and plays roles in reproduction, development, and immune response. Measuring follistatin levels supports research into conditions such as muscular dystrophy, inflammation, and fertility disorders. Unopened kits are stored at 2–8°C for 12 months.
