Mouse Folate receptor beta (Folr2) ELISA Kit

Assay Genie's sandwich ELISA kit is designed for the quantitative measurement of mouse Folate receptor beta (Folr2), a GPI-anchored cell-membrane protein of the folate receptor family. Also known by the synonyms Folate receptor 2, Folate-binding protein 2, FR-beta, Fbp2 and Folbp2, FOLR2 binds folate and reduced folic acid derivatives and mediates delivery of 5-methyltetrahydrofolate and folate analogs into the interior of cells, showing high affinity for folate at neutral pH that is reduced upon exposure to acidic pH following receptor endocytosis.

The kit is validated for use with serum, plasma, tissue homogenates, cell culture supernates and other biological fluids, and specifically recognises natural and recombinant mouse Folate receptor beta (UniProt Q05685). Detection is colorimetric, with a working detection range of 15.6–1000 pg/mL and a sensitivity of 7.8 pg/mL. The kit is intended for research use only.
