Mouse Folate receptor alpha (Folr1) ELISA Kit

The kit uses a colorimetric detection method, is reactive with mouse samples, and is intended for research use only.

The assay has a detection range of 15.6-1000pg/mL and a sensitivity of 8.1pg/mL, with specificity for natural and recombinant mouse Folate receptor alpha. Reported precision values are an Intra CV of 5.6% and an Inter CV of 8.1%. Linearity was demonstrated across serial dilutions in serum (100-109%, 90-98%, 88-98%, 107-115%), EDTA plasma (110-122%, 80-89%, 90-98%, 81-91%), and heparin plasma (91-103%, 94-106%, 104-114%, 97-109%). Spike-and-recovery values averaged 101% (range 95-107%) in serum and 103% (range 97-109%) in plasma.

FOLR1 (UniProt P35846) binds folate and reduced folic acid derivatives and mediates delivery of 5-methyltetrahydrofolate and folate analogs into cells, with high affinity for folate and folic acid analogs at neutral pH, and reduced affinity following exposure to slightly acidic pH after receptor endocytosis. The protein is required for normal embryonic development, normal cell proliferation, and renal folate reabsorption. It is a GPI-anchored membrane protein whose dysregulation has been implicated in cancer, autoimmune disorders, and neurological conditions, making it relevant to cell biology research.
