Mouse Ficolin-1 (Fcn1) ELISA Kit

Assay Genie provides this sandwich ELISA kit for the quantitative measurement of mouse Ficolin-1 (Fcn1) in serum, plasma, tissue homogenates, cell culture supernatants and other biological fluids. The kit is intended for research use only and detects natural and recombinant mouse Ficolin-1.

Ficolin-1 is a secreted homotrimeric lectin and pattern-recognition receptor of the innate immune system. Also known as Collagen/fibrinogen domain-containing protein 1, Ficolin-A, Ficolin-alpha, and M-ficolin, it binds sugar moieties on microbial pathogen-associated molecular patterns and preferentially recognises 9-O-acetylated 2-6-linked sialic acid derivatives. The protein is found on the monocyte and granulocyte surface and may activate monocytes through the G protein-coupled receptor FFAR2, inducing secretion of interleukin-8/IL-8.

Using a sandwich ELISA format, the kit has a detection range of 0.156-10ng/mL and a sensitivity of 0.078ng/mL.
