Mouse Fibulin-5 (Fbln5) ELISA Kit

Manufactured by Assay Genie, this Sandwich ELISA Kit is designed for quantitative detection of mouse Fibulin-5 (Fbln5), a protein also known by the synonyms Developmental arteries and neural crest EGF-like protein, Dance and FIBL-5. The assay uses a colorimetric detection method and is reactive with mouse samples.

Performance specifications include a detection range of 31.2-2000pg/mL and a sensitivity of 15.61pg/mL. Intra-assay CV is reported at 6.3% and inter-assay CV at 8.2%. Linearity has been characterised across serum, EDTA plasma and heparin plasma at dilutions of 1:2, 1:4, 1:8 and 1:16, with serum recovery averaging 101% (range 95-107%) and plasma recovery averaging 103% (range 97-109%).

The kit is validated for use with serum, plasma, tissue homogenates, cell culture supernatants and other biological fluids, with specificity for natural and recombinant mouse Fibulin-5. Fibulin-5 is essential for elastic fibre formation, supporting assembly of the continuous elastin (ELN) polymer and organising elastic fibres in skin, lung and vasculature; the protein is secreted and localises to the extracellular space and extracellular matrix, co-localising with ELN in elastic fibres.
