Mouse Fibulin-2 ELISA Kit

A sandwich ELISA kit from Assay Genie enables quantitative measurement of fibulin-2 in mouse samples, including serum, plasma, cell culture supernatant, cell or tissue lysate, and other liquid samples. The double-antibody sandwich format with colorimetric detection achieves a sensitivity of 28.125 pg/mL across a working range of 46.875-3000 pg/mL. Fibulin-2 is a critical extracellular matrix protein that plays a central role in tissue development, maintenance, and repair, and participates in cell adhesion, migration, and angiogenesis. Its dysregulation has been associated with cancer, cardiovascular disorders, and fibrotic diseases, supporting its use as a biomarker in disease-progression research.

Analytical performance has been characterised for serum, EDTA plasma, and heparin plasma. Linearity at 1:2, 1:4, and 1:8 dilutions is 90-96%, 81-99%, and 85-100% for serum (n=5); 88-94%, 86-90%, and 82-97% for EDTA plasma (n=5); and 82-93%, 90-98%, and 80-98% for heparin plasma (n=5). Spike-and-recovery ranges and corresponding averages are 87-105% (96%) for serum, 86-103% (87%) for EDTA plasma, and 88-105% (95%) for heparin plasma.

The procedure follows a six-step workflow: equilibrate reagents and TMB substrate to room temperature before loading standards, samples, and blanks onto the pre-coated plate; incubate at 37°C for 90 minutes; add biotinylated detection antibody and incubate for 60 minutes; add HRP-streptavidin (SABC) and incubate for 30 minutes; develop with TMB substrate in the dark for 10-20 minutes; and add stop solution before reading absorbance at 450 nm. Reagents are stored at 2-8°C for 12 months. The target is also known as Fbln2 or FIBL-2 (UniProt P37889).
